Today, the region is again home to many family-owned vineyards creating world-class varietal wines. Low rainfall produces a rich concentration of flavour, aroma and colour – the distinctive regional characters of Geelong wines.

Wine in a million is the perfect tour for groups of friends who love good wine, good food, and good company in a beautiful rural setting. If you have already explored the wineries in the Yarra Valley region & Mornington Peninsula – then this region is a MUST visit!

With a fully licensed and CPVV accredited driver at your side, our aim is to provide you with a memorable experience exploring the best wines that Geelong & Bellarine has to offer at an affordable price. This 8-hour private tour package price per person includes tastings at 3 different wineries, a gourmet lunch, and private transport to all wineries including a complimentary pick-up and drop-off service from a location of your choice within Melbourne CBD.

This tour requires a minimum of 8 guests however we are happy to cater to smaller groups as well. Please get in touch with us for a custom quotation for smaller groups.

10.00 A.M:Pick-up

We’ll pick you up from a location of your choice within Metropolitan Melbourne Limits.

For groups of 6-11 people, we offer a private 12 Seater Mini Bus.
For groups with more than 11 people, we are able to offer a private 14 seat, 21 seat or 24 seat buses depending on the passenger requirement.
Alternative and luxury modes of transport such as private 12 Seater Chrysler or a 17 Seater Hummer Limosine can be included for an extra fee (available as add-ons during checkout).
Private helicopter transfers are available as add-ons. It will be a one-way transfer from Pickup location in Melbourne City to Yering Station.

11.00 A.M:Wine Tastings at Barwon Ridge Wines

Our 1st stop is Barwon Ridge Wines, a small family vineyard in the Barrabool Hills just ten minutes west of Geelong.

You’ll have a chance to enjoy their cellar door tastings featuring award winning pinot noir, shiraz, marsanne, chardonnay, cabernet sauvignon, sparkling brut, cabernet/shiraz and fortified shiraz. All of Barwon Ridge wines are vegan.

12:00 P.M:Lunch & Wine Tastings at Leura Park Estate

Leura Park Estate is a funky, boutique vineyard with a mighty reputation for exceptional cool climate wines and fun.

A cellar door experience will delight – enjoy the rustic chic ambience or ‘Cirque de Soleil-esque’ POD, whilst feasting on stunning stone based pizzas, hearty fillet steak sandwiches, Al Fresco platters and cheeses.

03:00 P.M:Wine Tastings at Nicol's Paddock

Our third stop, Nicol’s Paddock is a family-run boutique winery focusing on estate-grown shiraz, and locally sourced chardonnay and pinot noir.

Enjoy a tasting of their boutique wines while overlooking the vineyard in an intimate cellar door. their Shiraz vines are wonderful to watch change across the seasons.

04:00 P.M:Optional visit to Bellarine Distillery, Little Creatures Brewery or Freckleberry Chocolaterie

For our 4th stop, you can choose between a visit to the Local Gin Distillery, Brewery, or Chocolaterie.

Treat yourself to a true Australian Craft Gin at Bellarine Distillery, or a fresh brew of craft beer & cider at Little Creatures Brewery.

Had enough to drink for one day? Feel free to indulge your sweet tooth in a freshly made batch of artisanal chocolates, pastries & desserts at Freckleberry Chocolaterie before heading back home.

05:00 P.M:Wrap-up & Depart Yarra Valley

As the day comes to an end, it is time to wrap up and leave the Yarra Valley and head back home.

Booking Policy – All wineries advertised on tour packages are based on availability. In the event of a winery(s) being fully booked, we will substitute it for another venue at no extra cost.
Deposit Policy – All deposits made to confirm a tour are non-refundable. Please ensure you are confident that you will go ahead with the tour when placing a deposit for a tour.

Overtime Policy – Our full-day tour duration is 8 hours from pickup time, with an additional 30 minutes grace period allowed in some cases. Overtime charges start to apply once tour duration is exceeded, our tours are created to be an unrushed experience, we kindly request our guests to abide by the flexibility we allow in our tours. Additional hours of driving will result in fatigue for the driver and compromises the safety of passengers on board. We appreciate your understanding and all efforts taken to respect the tour’s duration.
Sustainability Policy – Our tour buses are occupied back to back on tours, we kindly request all our clients to make sure personal belongings and rubbish are removed from the bus at the end of the tour. Spills and rubbish leftovers may attract cleaning charges.

Is this a private tour? Do I get a private driver & a private vehicle for my group?

Yes, this is a private tour. Our private tours are inclusive of a private vehicle & a private tour guide fully accredited to carry paying passengers.

What happens in the case of COVID-19 restrictions?

We will provide a full refund if you are unable to travel due to government-mandated restrictions or if we are unable to provide the described service due to any other public health restrictions.

What is your refund & cancellation policy?

All cancellation requests must be sent through in writing (email or text) for us to process a refund.
All deposits made to confirm a tour are non-refundable. Please ensure you are confident that you will go ahead with the tour when placing a deposit for a tour.
Cancellations made before 12 hours after payment are subject to a 5% fee of the total booking fee.
A 50% refund is issued to any bookings which are cancelled after 12 hours of payment but 7 days prior to the booking date.
No refund is issued for any bookings cancelled within 7 days of the confirmed booking date. Please note that our tours are very high in demand and limited spots are available for our bookings. Cancellations result in administration costs on our end as the tour agency as well as the wineries that make reservations.
Refunds can take 3-5 business depending on your bank account. Cancellations made within 1 week or less prior to the tour date will not be refunded.
Dates can’t be swapped. A $100 rebooking fee will be applied for any private tours that need to change dates.
Reduced numbers in group bookings will not be refunded.
Passengers are recommended to be at the pickup point of choice at the time agreed between the guests and Ami Tours. Late arrivals by passengers can result in delays in attending to the booking and the risk of bookings being cancelled by the wineries for no-shows. No refunds apply for any delays caused by the lateness of guests. The wineries also reserve the right to refuse us if we are late, as they will need to attend to other on-time bookings. No shows will not be refunded.

How do I purchase an add-on?

Step 1: Please select your preferred booking date & number of people, and click “Book now”.

Step 2: Continue with the checkout process by filling in your contact information & billing address. Click “Next Step” when you’ve completed filling in the required information.

Step 3: Select an add-on of your choice. The final amount will be added to the total balance of your tour cost.

Step 4: Proceed to the payment gateway and finalise payment.

Do I need to register an account on the website to book a tour?

No, registration is not required; all tours can be booked through the website without creating an account.

What if I don’t want to book through the website? Is there another way to make a booking?

Our booking team will advise you on other methods of payment.

Is payment required upfront to book a tour?

All tours must be booked with a minimum deposit of 10% to be confirmed and locked in.

Our tours operate on a first come first serve basis, limited spots are available, and we cannot accommodate everyone who registers interest and makes a tentative booking for a tour date without any payment.

Is lunch included in the tour package?

Yes, Lunch is included in this tour package.

What is the standard duration of a tour?

A full-day wine tour booking includes 8 hours; this includes the time from the first pickup to the final drop-off. However, there are exceptions to this in case of extreme weather conditions, traffic incidents, etc.

Example of a standard tour: Tour begins at 10 am from pick up point in Melbourne CBD, driver & passengers arrive at Yarra Valley at 11 am, return to Melbourne CBD to finish the tour at 6.00pm.

If multiple pickup pickups/drop-offs are required, then it is recommended to plan your day ahead to avoid exceeding the 8-hour tour duration.

Will I be charged extra for exceeding the 8-hour limit of tour?

Not strictly, we may allow up to an extra 30 minutes as no one is perfect, and going overtime can happen. However, if an 8-hour tour ends up being a 9- or 10-hour tour then you will be charged overtime.

It is important to note that the driver is booked for 8 hours and longer hours of driving result in fatigue which is not ideal for the safety of the driver and passengers on board.

Michelle was so easy to work with and it was so helpful to have a team of people planning it. Our bus driver AJ was awesome and very easy going and not to mention a lot of fun! We went to Leura Park and Nicols Paddock and had no issues with our reservations at either. Both locations were great for larger groups! And the wine was excellent. We had tasting at each and then some! All in all and extremely fun and memorable day! Would highly recommend :)

Booking was easy and pricing incredible transparent. More importantly, Michelle and the Ami tours team were SO accommodating with special requests, questions, scheduling issues - everything. Most importantly, the bus was immaculate and the driver (can't recall his name) was extremely kind. It seems like everyone working here is super local, and they absolutely go out of their way to make you feel like a celebrity.
