Our “Sip Sip Hooray!” wine tour is perfect for wine lovers and collectors, sommeliers and wine students. Even if your exposure to wine tasting is minimal, this private tour will take you to the next level, allowing you to take a closer look at the award-winning wines produced on the Yarra Valley like never before.

Focussed on delivering a more exclusive experience of the best wineries in Victoria, you’ll be privy to in-depth information, meet top winemakers, and sample the most premium wines available.

Our “Sip Sip Hooray!” wine tour is fully customisable and private, ensuring you get the most intimate and comprehensive wine tour possible. This isn’t a tour designed for just anyone; this is for those truly passionate, perhaps already with wine knowledge or the desire to learn more, and those looking for a more elite experience than the mainstream.

With a fully licensed and CPVV accredited driver at your side, our aim is to provide you with a memorable experience exploring the best wines that Yarra Valley has to offer at an affordable price. This 8-hour private tour package price per person includes premium wine tastings at 3 different wineries, a gourmet lunch, and private transport to all wineries.

This tour requires a minimum of 4 guests however we are happy to cater to smaller groups as well. Please get in touch with us for a custom quotation for smaller groups.

We’ll pick you up from a location of your choice within Metropolitan Melbourne Limits.

For groups of 6-11 people, we offer a private 12 Seater Mini Bus.
For groups with more than 11 people, we are able to offer a private 14 seat, 21 seat or 24 seat buses depending on the passenger requirement.
Alternative and luxury modes of transport such as private 12 Seater Chrysler or a 17 Seater Hummer Limousine can be included for an extra fee (available as add-ons during checkout).

It is said that ‘great wine is made in the vineyard’ and at Soumah this is true to their philosophy with a location that delivers with spectacular undulating topography, ancient soils and well tendered vines.

So sit back, relax & enjoy a premium tutored tasting & a sumptuous gourmet lunch at Soumah Wines, our 2nd stop for the day.

Known for their award-winning Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, this hidden gem is located down a county lane in the dress circle Warramate foothills of the Yarra Valley, offering visitors spectacular views of the vineyard and the surrounding Warramate Hills.

Chandon’s traditions hail from a grand Champagne house but their expertise is firmly planted in cool-climate Yarra Valley wine country. During our 3rd stop, you’ll be able to experience a range of premium wines that are made with distinctive Chandon complexity and finesse.

For our 4th stop, you can choose between a visit to either the Four Pillars Gin Distillery or the Coldstream Brewery. Treat yourself to a true Australian Craft Gin, or indulge in a fresh brew of craft beer & cider before we wrap-up & depart Yarra Valley.

Booking Policy – All wineries advertised on tour packages are based on availability. In the event of a winery(s) being fully booked, we will substitute it for another venue at no extra cost.
Deposit Policy – All deposits made to confirm a tour are non-refundable. Please ensure you are confident that you will go ahead with the tour when placing a deposit for a tour.

Overtime Policy – Our full-day tour duration is 6 hours from pickup time, with an additional 30 minutes grace period allowed in some cases. Overtime charges start to apply once tour duration is exceeded, our tours are created to be an unrushed experience, we kindly request our guests to abide by the flexibility we allow in our tours. Additional hours of driving will result in fatigue for the driver and compromises the safety of passengers on board. We appreciate your understanding and all efforts taken to respect the tour’s duration.
Sustainability Policy – Our tour buses are occupied back to back on tours, we kindly request all our clients to make sure personal belongings and rubbish are removed from the bus at the end of the tour. Spills and rubbish leftovers may attract cleaning charges.

Is this a private tour? Do I get a private driver & a private vehicle for my group?

Yes, this is a private tour. Our private tours are inclusive of a private vehicle & a private tour guide fully accredited to carry paying passengers.

What happens in the case of COVID-19 restrictions?

We will provide a full refund if you are unable to travel due to government-mandated restrictions or if we are unable to provide the described service due to any other public health restrictions.

What is your refund & cancellation policy?

All cancellation requests must be sent through in writing (email or text) for us to process a refund.
All deposits made to confirm a tour are non-refundable. Please ensure you are confident that you will go ahead with the tour when placing a deposit for a tour.
Cancellations made before 12 hours after payment are subject to a 5% fee of the total booking fee.
A 50% refund is issued to any bookings which are cancelled after 12 hours of payment but 7 days prior to the booking date.
No refund is issued for any bookings cancelled within 7 days of the confirmed booking date. Please note that our tours are very high in demand and limited spots are available for our bookings. Cancellations result in administration costs on our end as the tour agency as well as the wineries that make reservations.
Refunds can take 3-5 business depending on your bank account. Cancellations made within 1 week or less prior to the tour date will not be refunded.
Dates can’t be swapped. A $100 rebooking fee will be applied for any private tours that need to change dates.
Reduced numbers in group bookings will not be refunded.
Passengers are recommended to be at the pickup point of choice at the time agreed between the guests and Ami Tours. Late arrivals by passengers can result in delays in attending to the booking and the risk of bookings being cancelled by the wineries for no-shows. No refunds apply for any delays caused by the lateness of guests. The wineries also reserve the right to refuse us if we are late, as they will need to attend to other on-time bookings. No shows will not be refunded.

How do I purchase an add-on?

Step 1: Please select your preferred booking date & number of people, and click “Book now”.

Step 2: Continue with the checkout process by filling in your contact information & billing address. Click “Next Step” when you’ve completed filling in the required information.

Step 3: Select an add-on of your choice. The final amount will be added to the total balance of your tour cost.

Step 4: Proceed to the payment gateway and finalise payment.

Do I need to register an account on the website to book a tour?

No, registration is not required; all tours can be booked through the website without creating an account.

What if I don’t want to book through the website? Is there another way to make a booking?

Our booking team will advise you on other methods of payment.

Is payment required upfront to book a tour?

All tours must be booked with a minimum deposit of 10% to be confirmed and locked in.

Our tours operate on a first come first serve basis, limited spots are available, and we cannot accommodate everyone who registers interest and makes a tentative booking for a tour date without any payment.

Is lunch included in the tour package?

Yes, Lunch is included in this tour package.

What is the standard duration of a tour?

A full-day wine tour booking includes 6 hours; this includes the time from the first pickup to the final drop-off. However, there are exceptions to this in case of extreme weather conditions, traffic incidents, etc.

Example of a standard tour: Tour begins at 10 am from pick up point in Melbourne CBD, driver & passengers arrive at Yarra Valley at 11 am, return to Melbourne CBD to finish the tour at 4.00pm.

If multiple pickup pickups/drop-offs are required, then it is recommended to plan your day ahead to avoid exceeding the 6-hour tour duration.

Will I be charged extra for exceeding the 6-hour limit of tour?

Not strictly, we may allow up to an extra 30 minutes as no one is perfect, and going overtime can happen. However, if a 6-hour tour ends up being a 7 or 8-hour tour then you will be charged overtime.

It is important to note that the driver is booked for 8 hours and longer hours of driving result in fatigue which is not ideal for the safety of the driver and passengers on board.

We didn’t feel rushed during the day. Ami was always willing to carry our wine to the car (thank you!) and keep it safe. Ami has great relationships with winemakers in the region and we were therefore able to do tastings of more exclusive wines.

CHARM C.We did the premium wine tour. It far surpassed my expectations for a tour of this kind. We got to meet a lot of boutique winemakers and learned so much about how exclusive wines are made. It was great to hear first hand how the process works from a mix of owners which is a lot more personalised than say a tasting at a wine cellar door.
