This acute care hospital was established in 1948 and has a total of 508 beds. Some of the many services it offers include cardiac care, day procedures, day oncology, emergency care, hospital-in-the-home, intensive care, maternity, paediatric (children’s) care, medical imaging, and pathology. Additionally, the hospital offers hospital-in-the-home services.
This hospital first opened its doors in 2002 and now has 138 beds spread out across its three different wards, which include acute surgical, acute medical, and rehabilitation. It provides round-the-clock medical care and features five operating theaters, a day oncology unit, a high dependency unit, endoscopy, a sleep center, onsite medical imaging and pathology, expert consulting suites, and more.
This inpatient center, which was established in 2021 and is known as the Lisa Thurin Women’s Health Centre, is home to Australia’s first private mental health hospital that is dedicated exclusively to treating women. At this short-stay facility, patients have access to an innovative biopsychosocial package of care that provides holistic treatments designed to optimize outcomes for women. This package of care is provided by this facility’s multidisciplinary team of medical professionals. This cutting-edge facility is largely dedicated to the treatment of illnesses related to mental health, such as addiction, anxiety, mood disorders, and complicated traumatic experiences.
Hospital-in-the-home, outpatient rehabilitation, rehabilitation and therapy in the patient’s house, chronic illness management programs, and private allied health sessions are some of the services that we offer as part of our outpatient treatment. We are able to continue to provide clinical care to our patients outside of the walls of our hospitals by delivering treatment in our clinics and, where it is appropriate, in the homes of our patients. This will keep our patients healing and healthy.
