Although it is a large reserve, the off-leash dog area is simply a rectangular part of 200 meters by 50 meters, and it is located at the very northern extremity of the reserve. There are no trees in this area, and the boundary between the on leash and off leash sections is not delineated by a fence.
There is a table and seat close that does not have any shade. The remaining portion of the park, which is restricted to dogs on leashes, consists of a large circular gravel road, a large grassy area, an outdoor gym, and a modest playground. There is a garbage can close to a number of the entrances, as well as a water fountain with a bowl close to the play area.
The Mavis Hutter Reserve is a vast green space that is grassy and is surrounded by trees on all sides. It features a walking loop that has workout stations, a large off-leash dog area, and a playground.
Redesigning of certain areas of the park’s reserve, such as the children’s playground, is currently in the works.
The revitalization will include the creation of a brand-new play area at the neighborhood level, which will have play equipment suitable for children of all ages. Accessible play things include a ground spinner, climbing nets, and a basket swing. Other play items include musical play instruments, activity panels, and cubbies. A rubber soft-fall path will be used to provide access to the equipment.
New park furniture, such as a new picnic shelter, picnic tables, and a barbecue, is provided by the Council for playgrounds located in residential neighborhoods. In addition to this, there will be new garden beds and shade trees planted.
