When the mountains and vineyards are cloaked in mist, Mornington Peninsula becomes a fairy tale, a cozy setting you won’t find in wine country any other time of the year. It’s the best time to connect with friends and take it easy while visiting new wineries (and revisiting old favourites). The wine shops are uncrowded and winemakers often emerge from their cellars to pour wine and visit with their guests. Tasting rooms are cozier than usual with decorations and winter charm.

Complementing the laid-back pace and picturesque landscape of a wintery Mornington Peninsula, we’ve lined up a few favorite experiences to showcase the region’s diverse terroir and to educate the public about wine and wine tasting in an unpretentious environment.

We’ll pick you up from a location of your choice within Metropolitan Melbourne Limits.

For groups of 6-11 people, we offer a private 12 Seater Mini Bus.
For groups with more than 11 people, we are able to offer a private 14 seat, 21 seat or 24 seat buses depending on the passenger requirement.
Alternative and luxury modes of transport such as private 12 Seater Chrysler or a 17 Seater Hummer Limousine can be included for an extra fee (available as add-ons during checkout).

11.00 A.MMornington Peninsula Hot Springs

Start off the day by taking a dip at Mornington Peninsula Hot Springs, a geothermal bathing oasis with an idyllic setting for rejuvenation. Hot spring pools and private baths offer a transformative experience and a place to reconnect to yourself and others while immersed in nature.

The healing geothermal waters come from 637m below the earth’s surface and are infused with natural minerals and trace elements which detoxify the body. The health benefits of bathing in mineral waters are well documented including improved sleep, reduction of arthritis symptoms, promoting healthy skin, and improving muscle and bone health.

Peninsula Hot Springs has plenty of space for you and your loved ones to explore, ranging from the social, family-friendly Bath House and new Amphitheatre to the Adults-Only Spa Dreaming Centre.

Our 2nd stop is Red Hill Estate, an iconic multi-award-winning Mornington Peninsula wine producer that is not only renowned for its fine wines, but also for the superb panoramic views of Westernport Bay that can be enjoyed on a visit to the cellar door.

Red Hill Estate wines are truly exceptional, with grapes sourced from Cool Climate wine regions where different cool climates mix with volcanic and sedimentary soils to create wines that are wonderfully textured, complex and elegantly understated.

02:00 P.MWine tastings & Gourmet Lunch at Barmah Park

Barmah Park Restaurant & Cellar Door is nestled within a boutique vineyard and offers superb food with palatable wines to match. Tastings of the Barmah Park wines take place in the spacious cellar door. You may even leave with a bottle of wine or two.

Serving modern Australian cuisine for lunch, there is something for everyone!

Lunch for this venue is at the expense of clients.

The indoor space has ample sit down areas, ready for your friends and family to feast and an outdoor entertainment space to enjoy into the night.

As the day comes to an end, it is time to wrap up and leave Mornington Peninsula and head back home.

Overtime Policy – Our full-day tour duration is 8 hours from pickup time, with an additional 30 minutes grace period allowed in some cases. Overtime charges start to apply once tour duration is exceeded, our tours are created to be an unrushed experience, we kindly request our guests to abide by the flexibility we allow in our tours. Additional hours of driving will result in fatigue for the driver and compromises the safety of passengers on board. We appreciate your understanding and all efforts taken to respect the tour’s duration.
Sustainability Policy – Our tour buses are occupied back to back on tours, we kindly request all our clients to make sure personal belongings and rubbish are removed from the bus at the end of the tour. Spills and rubbish leftovers may attract cleaning charges.

Yes, the cost of the tour includes entry tickets to the hot springs.

Is this a private tour? Do I get a private driver & a private vehicle for my group?

Yes, this is a private tour. Our private tours are inclusive of a private vehicle & a private tour guide fully accredited to carry paying passengers.

What happens in the case of COVID-19 restrictions?

We will provide a full refund if you are unable to travel due to government-mandated restrictions or if we are unable to provide the described service due to any other public health restrictions.

What is your refund & cancellation policy?

All cancellation requests must be sent through in writing (email or text) for us to process a refund.
All deposits made to confirm a tour are non-refundable. Please ensure you are confident that you will go ahead with the tour when placing a deposit for a tour.
Cancellations made before 12 hours after payment are subject to a 5% fee of the total booking fee.
A 50% refund is issued to any bookings which are cancelled after 12 hours of payment but 7 days prior to the booking date.
No refund is issued for any bookings cancelled within 7 days of the confirmed booking date. Please note that our tours are very high in demand and limited spots are available for our bookings. Cancellations result in administration costs on our end as the tour agency as well as the wineries that make reservations.
Refunds can take 3-5 business depending on your bank account. Cancellations made within 1 week or less prior to the tour date will not be refunded.
Dates can’t be swapped. A $100 rebooking fee will be applied for any private tours that need to change dates.
Reduced numbers in group bookings will not be refunded.
Passengers are recommended to be at the pickup point of choice at the time agreed between the guests and Ami Tours. Late arrivals by passengers can result in delays in attending to the booking and the risk of bookings being cancelled by the wineries for no-shows. No refunds apply for any delays caused by the lateness of guests. The wineries also reserve the right to refuse us if we are late, as they will need to attend to other on-time bookings. No shows will not be refunded.

How do I purchase an add-on?

Step 1: Please select your preferred booking date & number of people, and click “Book now”.

Step 2: Continue with the checkout process by filling in your contact information & billing address. Click “Next Step” when you’ve completed filling in the required information.

Step 3: Select an add-on of your choice. The final amount will be added to the total balance of your tour cost.

Step 4: Proceed to the payment gateway and finalise payment.

Do I need to register an account on the website to book a tour?

No, registration is not required; all tours can be booked through the website without creating an account.

What if I don’t want to book through the website? Is there another way to make a booking?

Our booking team will advise you on other methods of payment.

Is payment required upfront to book a tour?

All tours must be booked with a minimum deposit of 10% to be confirmed and locked in.

Our tours operate on a first come first serve basis, limited spots are available, and we cannot accommodate everyone who registers interest and makes a tentative booking for a tour date without any payment.

What is the standard duration of a tour?

A full-day wine tour booking includes 8 hours; this includes the time from the first pickup to the final drop-off. However, there are exceptions to this in case of extreme weather conditions, traffic incidents, etc.

Example of a standard tour: Tour begins at 10 am from pick up point in Melbourne CBD, driver & passengers arrive at Mornington Peninsula at 11 am, return to Melbourne CBD to finish the tour at 6.00pm.

If multiple pickup pickups/drop-offs are required, then it is recommended to plan your day ahead to avoid exceeding the 8-hour tour duration.

Will I be charged extra for exceeding the 8-hour limit of tour?

Not strictly, we may allow up to an extra 30 minutes as no one is perfect, and going overtime can happen. However, if an 8-hour tour ends up being a 9- or 10-hour tour then you will be charged overtime.

It is important to note that the driver is booked for 8 hours and longer hours of driving result in fatigue which is not ideal for the safety of the driver and passengers on board.
